How Does it Work?PB Academy is a competitive three-phase program that lasts approximately 24 weeks that takes you from training all the way to job-matching with global employers. Phase 1: Attract (May 16 to July 31, 2022) This phase is self-study and self-paced, and the only requirement is that you complete an online assessment. The assessment will test your problem-solving ability and your understanding of the fundamentals of the MERN technology stack. During this phase, you can choose to receive e-learning materials on the MERN stack and its underlying technologies at no cost to you. Participants who perform best in the assessment will be invited to continue to Phase 2. Phase 2: Assess (August 8 to October 2, 2022) Throughout this phase, you will be working with a team of your fellow participants on a project that you must present during the final week. To guide you through the project, you will be attending a weekly online lecture and weekly mentorship sessions with an instructor. You must also complete a series of behavioral and technical interviews towards the end of this phase. The individual participants who perform the best during this phase will be invited to Phase 3. Phase 3: Apprentice (October 3 to October 31, 2022) During this phase, you will be paid an apprentice fee to train full-time on a real-world capstone project at Penbrothers with a team of your fellow participants. As you work on your project, you will receive mentorship from a Penbrothers developer. You will also receive soft-skills training that will prepare you for working with teams and management on a global scale. At the end of this phase, your team will present your project to managers at Penbrothers and you will complete a final interview.
